This fatty acid helps to protect the cardiovascular system through two main processes: first, it helps to reduce blood pressure and second, it helps to reduce levels of bad cholesterol and increases those of good cholesterol.
  4. They’re rich in minerals like sodium (which our body needs in small amounts but hypertensive people have to watch their consumption) because they help our body to keep the right level of fluids.
